A KISS ON THE BOTTOM

Fraught with problems from the outset and during the rehearsal stage, this production turned out to be a triumph for its Director/Producer, Sonia Williams. Set in the unpromising (for a comedy) environment of a women’s cancer ward, it drew much acclaim from the audience on all three nights. It also featured a great personal sacrifice from our veteran actress, Edna Bell who actually had her head shaved for the part of Grace.

The play also benefited from having in the cast, two new members - and very able actors - mother and daughter, Angie and Helen Dodds.

As mentioned on the Home page, the set owed its realism to the generous help of Darent Valley Hospital in lending all the ward furniture shown above.
